Qualified applicants will be dynamic, self-starters with 5 plus years experience in a business or systems analyst role. Strong written, communication and analytical skills are required. Small team so Business Analyst will need to wear many hats. Need to be able and willing to pay attention to and follow up on details. 

Project – Developing a nationwide licensing system to regulate mortgage brokers.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Elicit requirements from end users and other project stakeholders using a variety of techniques. 
  • Analyze functional requirements using structured methods and modeling techniques.
  • Develop comprehensive functional and non-functional requirements that will serve as the blueprint for technical development and implementation efforts. 
  • Develop visual models to assist end users in confirming requirements. Examples include process flows, wire frames and prototype screens.
  • Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements artifacts.
  • Coordinate with development and business teams for review and sign-off of requirements. 
  • Manage requirements in DOORS. Maintain requirement attributes and facilitate their use throughout the project.
  • Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project.
  • Manage changes to baselined requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools.
  • Support software development and testing activities to ensure the product meets defined requirements. 
  • Develop status reports and attend scheduled status meetings. 

Required skills and experience:

 

  • * Prior experience supporting full lifestyle development project. Experience with projects using an Agile approach is a plus.
  • * Proficiency representing requirements in Use Case format
  • * Demonstrated experience with visual modeling and structured analysis techniques, 
  • * Proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • * Demonstrated experience with professional requirements and change management tools and techniques
  • * Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • * Results oriented * possesses drive to target and achieve results, set challenging goals, prioritize tasks, overcome obstacles, accept accountability
  • * Knowledge of the financial services industry, specifically the residential mortgage industry, is a plus
